To each their own pillowcase, to each their own dream
- 12% of people dream in black and white. It seems that people over 55 dream more in black and white. This phenomenon is associated with the transition from monochrome to color television. If you can't dream in color, opt for a colorful environment! Pink pillowcases , blue duvet cover (for example)!
- People born blind dream using their other senses. When you are born blind, the other senses take over. The same is true for the subconscious. Blind people would then dream of the perceptions they have of the real world created by touch, smell, taste or even hearing.
- Within 5 minutes of waking up, 50% of our dream is forgotten. And in the next 5 minutes, 90% of it was forgotten. Sigmund Freud believed that this was because our dreams represented our repressed thoughts and our brains sought to quickly forget them. However, it seems that this is caused by the much greater brain activity upon waking up. It's not easy to find good reasons to get out of your cotton percale sheets !

The importance of sleeping on quality sheets

- The record for the longest period without sleep is 11 days. This record, entered in the Guinness Book of Records, is held by Californian Randy Gardner in 1965 when he was 17 years old. He began this experiment encouraged by a few friends, then quickly interested scientists who could then observe the effects caused by lack of sleep . Legend has it that Randy then slept for a week in sheets , guess what material? In cotton percale !

- Sleep deprivation will kill you before food deprivation will. In the short term, it seems that lack of sleep can have more negative effects than lack of food. Obviously, we don't recommend either one or the other.
