Double cotton gauze

Our double cotton gauze is woven exclusively for us in a small workshop north of Porto, then dyed and made in a neighboring village. It is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, guaranteeing textiles without substances harmful to health and the environment. The weave of our double cotton gauze is particularly dense since it is 140g / m². This result is the fruit of several months of collaboration to obtain the perfect embossing and feel of the double gauze. At Les pensionnaires, we have been fans of this material since the launch of the brand in 2018!

Description

Large throw in lightly embossed double cotton gauze , 120x170 cm or 170x250 cm, soft, practical and beautiful!

To walk from room to room, to take on a walk... To curl up on a sofa, to lightly cover a child at night, to wrap yourself up in it. It's a blanket , it's a stole, a curtain or a beach towel! It is an elegant piece of decoration.

The shades have been developed exclusively by and for Les pensionnaires. This delicate pink has been carefully considered to exude great softness without being cutesy.

Maintenance tips

Cold wash recommended before first use
Then wash between 30°C and 40°C with moderate spin 800 rpm (no dry cleaning)
Air dry flat or on low heat to preserve fibers
Abrasive detergents with bleaching agents should be avoided
The naturally waffle look of cotton gauze requires no ironing

Cotton gauze is a light and airy fabric, extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. Double gauze is made up of two layers of gauze linked together by invisible stitches at regular intervals.

What is linen and cotton blend?

Slub cotton is distinguished by its delicate irregularities, offering a unique natural texture. Made with yarns of varying thickness, it combines softness and comfort, while creating a dynamic and aesthetic mottled effect.

What are our commitments?

We have most of our fabrics woven, printed, dyed and all our products made with care and in therespect for the environment, near Porto, Portugal, in a human-sized company with a great textile tradition. We favor road transport to ensure that our products have not traveled the world before arriving at your home.

All our fabrics are made of100% natural fibers, 70% of which is GOTS certified organic cotton. The inks used are AZO-free, without heavy metals and harmful chemicals.

We do not follow a collection system, as our product range is timeless, which allows us tonot to encourage overconsumption. No “fast fashion” or “fast deco” at Les pensionnaires!
