Woven and designed in France from 100% recycled fibers, our tote bags combine style, practicality, durability, and commitment. Each bag is designed to accompany you every day while respecting the planet.

Our approach makes sense: weaving and manufacturing this collection in France allows for the relocation of 3.2 days of employment for one person in France (full-time equivalent) and reduces the impact by 1.8 tons of CO₂ compared to a bag imported from Asia (source: Spin-it software, Altertex, ADEME data).

Jacquard weaving, invented in France in the 19th century, brings each pattern to life directly in the thread. This artisanal technique, which is more demanding than printing, enhances your bags while contributing to a reduced ecological footprint.

Description

This ultra-practical and elegant striped tote bag is woven and made in France from 100% recycled fibers.

This striped bag, made using the jacquard weaving technique, is perfect for everyday use. Sturdy (377 g/m2), this French-made tote bag is ideal as a school bag, for going to work, or for a stroll around town.

Its classic horizontal stripes are enhanced by a thin vertical line that adds an extra spark to the design of this striped bag. The Les pensionnaires logo is woven into the fabric on the front in the same color as the thin stripe.

The signature Les pensionnaires gold embroidery is featured on one handle.

Certification Oeko-Tex guarantees that the canvas has been tested to ensure that it does not contain substances harmful to health or the environment, throughout its manufacture. This makes it both an ecological choice and one that respects your well-being.

The inks The boarders are AZO-free, what does that mean?

The AZO-free label certifies that the dyes used to print the Les Pensionnaires designs are free of heavy metals and dangerous chemicals. The risks for the environment in the country of production are therefore limited and contact with the skin poses no danger to health.

What are our commitments?

We have most of our fabrics woven, printed, dyed and all our products made with care and in therespect for the environment, near Porto, Portugal, in a human-sized company with a great textile tradition. We favor road transport to ensure that our products have not traveled the world before arriving at your home.

All our fabrics are made of100% natural fibers, 70% of organic cotton. The inks used are AZO-free, without heavy metals and harmful chemicals.

We do not follow a collection system, as our product range is timeless, which allows us tonot to encourage overconsumption. No “fast fashion” or “fast deco” at Les pensionnaires!
