Slub cotton kitchen linens

This striped slub cotton fabric is woven exclusively for us in a small workshop in Portugal, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This certification guarantees that the textiles are free from substances that are harmful to health and are environmentally friendly. Its slightly irregular thread creates delicate nuances in the texture: this is what is known as “slub”. This unique weave gives the fabric its texture and natural charm. The fine black stripe, woven directly into the fabric, adds a subtle and timeless touch. A lively fabric, full of character, which we have designed to dress you with simplicity and elegance.

Description

Dress up your table with these napkins with thin black stripes made of slub cotton.
Their lively texture and soft drape are reminiscent of the beautiful fabrics of yesteryear, the ones we love to bring out for meaningful gatherings.

Woven in Portugal from an exclusive Les pensionnaires fabric, they combine softness, durability, and authentic craftsmanship.
Each napkin is embroidered in one corner with a gold thread, the signature of Les pensionnaires.

Sold in sets of two striped towels of the same color.

To be coordinated with the matching striped tablecloth, mix and match with any other color, or pair with our double cotton gauze tablecloths for a flawless look.

Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.

Care instructions

Cold wash recommended before first use.
Then wash between 30°C and 40°C with moderate spin cycle at 800 rpm (do not dry clean).
Air dry or tumble dry at low temperature to preserve the fibers.
Avoid abrasive detergents with bleaching agents.
Iron on a low setting, maximum 110°C.

What is cotton percale?

Cotton percale is a very high quality canvas because it is made with very fine threads, made from very long fibers. It is very tightly woven (at least 80 threads per cm2) which allows it to be both fine and resistant.

And the double cotton gauze?

Cotton gauze is a light and airy fabric, extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. Double gauze is made up of two layers of gauze linked together by invisible stitches at regular intervals.

What is flamed cotton?

Flamed cotton is a unique fabric, characterized by subtle irregularities that create a natural textural effect. Soft and comfortable, it is made from yarns with variations in thickness, giving it a slightly mottled, visually dynamic appearance.

Is the delivery time for personalized products the same?

Customized products require additional time to make and are shipped within 7 days. Non-customized products are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours.

What are our certifications?

Our partner workshops are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which guarantees that textiles are free from substances harmful to health and the environment.
Our fabrics are made from 100% natural fibers, 70% of them from organic cotton.
The inks used are AZO-Free, free of heavy metals and hazardous chemicals.
The partners with whom Les Pensionnaires collaborate comply with the European REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemical substances), which means they only use substances that pose no risk to health or the environment.
