About

Double cotton gauze

Our double cotton gauze is woven exclusively for us in a small workshop north of Porto, then dyed and made in a neighboring village. It is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, guaranteeing textiles without substances harmful to health and the environment. The weave of our double cotton gauze is particularly dense since it is 140g / m². This result is the fruit of several months of collaboration to obtain the perfect embossing and feel of the double gauze. At Les pensionnaires, we have been fans of this material since the launch of the brand in 2018!

Description

Rectangular tablecloth 170x250 cm in double cotton gauze, a soft and pleasant fabric for spending sweet moments of sharing.

In one corner of the tablecloth, the small golden embroidery “signature” Les pensionnaires.

To coordinate with the double cotton gauze napkins of the same color or to mix with another color, as you like!

The ideal tablecloth, without ironing.

Please note: cotton gauze is a "living" fabric, it shrinks a little when tumble dried, relaxes if hung wet.

Care instructions

Cold wash recommended before first use
Then wash between 30°C and 40°C with moderate spin 800 rpm (no dry cleaning)
Air dry flat or on low heat to preserve fibers
Abrasive detergents with bleaching agents should be avoided
The naturally waffle look of cotton gauze requires no ironing

What is cotton percale?

Cotton percale is a very high quality canvas because it is made with very fine threads, made from very long fibers. It is very tightly woven (at least 80 threads per cm2) which allows it to be both fine and resistant.

And the double cotton gauze?

Cotton gauze is a light and airy fabric, extremely soft and pleasant to the touch. Double gauze is made up of two layers of gauze linked together by invisible stitches at regular intervals.

What is flamed cotton?

Flamed cotton is a unique fabric, characterized by subtle irregularities that create a natural textural effect. Soft and comfortable, it is made from yarns with variations in thickness, giving it a slightly mottled, visually dynamic appearance.

Is the delivery time for personalized products the same?

Customized products require additional time to make and are shipped within 7 days. Non-customized products are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours.

What are our certifications?

Our partner workshops are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which guarantees that textiles are free from substances harmful to health and the environment.
Our fabrics are made from 100% natural fibers, 70% of them from organic cotton.
The inks used are AZO-Free, free of heavy metals and hazardous chemicals.
The partners with whom Les Pensionnaires collaborate comply with the European REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemical substances), which means they only use substances that pose no risk to health or the environment.
